Economic History of Japan


[Course Guide]
Economic History of Japan, a basic course in the Faculty of Economics, introduces a macro-economic view of Japan's economic history. It examines changes over the past 400 years, from around the time of the establishment of the Tokugawa government in the early 17th century to the 1970s. The course draws on the insights of the latest research.

Classes: Spring (April to July) 26
Two classes per week, each 1.5 hours long
