[Course Guide]
'Economic History II' is a compulsory course for first-year students in the Faculty of Economics, forming a set with 'Economic History I' (Europe and the United States). The course aims to provide students with a basic knowledge of the economic history of Asia and Japan from the 15th to 20th centuries and the historical framework necessary for further study of economics. Focusing on Asia, it examines the historical background to many of the economic problems which face us today, including those related to population, poverty and the environment.

Classes: One 90-minute class per week over 1 semester
