Course Description:

The goals this course are to upgrade students' oral presentation skills and to develop students' ability to conduct and participate actively in substantive discussions of contemporary issues. Students will practice evaluating arguments, forming and asking relevant questions, and responding actively to other's comments in discussions.
Essential expressions for professional presentations and for discussing the pros and cons of controversial issues will be introduced and practiced. Students will be expected to do all assigned reading as preparation for class discussions and other class activities. Students will also prepare presentations as homework and will be responsible for leading discussions in class. All class activities will be conducted in English.

One 90-minute class per week
