HOSODA, Eiji

Professor, Faculty of Economics, Keio University

Professor Hosoda graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Keio University in 1977 and obtained an M.A. in economics from Keio University in 1979.  From 1983 to 1985 he studied at The University of Manchester as a British Council Scholar.  From 2001 to 2004 he served as Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Keio University.  He specializes in environmental economics and economic theory.  Publications include: "Material Cycle, Waste Disposal and Recycling in a Leontief-Sraffa-von Neumann Economy" (2000) , Journal of Material Cycles and Waste Management, Vol. 2, pp. 1-9; "Asymmetry of Control and Quantity Control in an Environmental Policy" (2000) Environmental Economics and Policy Studies, Vol. 3, No.4, pp.381-397; "Recycling and Landfilling in a Dynamic Sraffian Model: Application of the Corn-Guano Model to a Waste Treatment Problem" (2001), Metroeconomica, Vol. 52, No. 3, pp. 268-281; Goods to Bads no Keizaigaku (The Economics of the Goods and the Bads), Toyokeizai Shimpo Publishing, 1999.
