SAKAI, Yoshikiyo

Professor, International College of Arts and Sciences, Yokohama City University

Professor Sakai graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Keio University in 1975 and obtained a Ph.D. in economics from The University of Minnesota in 1986.  He specializes in monetary theory and macroeconomics.  Publications include: Sakai, Yoshikiyo “Conditional Pareto Optimality of Stationary Equilibrium in a Stochastic Overlapping Generations Model”, Journal of Economic Theory, Vol.44. No1. 209-213, 1988; Sakai, Yoshikiyo “Disclosure and Secrecy in Monetary Policy”, Economic Studies Quarterly, Vol.44. No.4 325-338, 1993; Sakai, Yoshikiyo and Yasuo Maeda “A Bank Panic Model with a Bond Market”, Japanese Economic Review, Vo.49. No.4 December 440-453, 1998; Sakai, Yoshikiyo and Yasuo Maeda “Microeconomic Foundation of LLR from the Viewpoint of Payments”, Japanese Economic Review, forthcoming.  He is also co-author of several books in Japanese including Kinyuu Situtemu (The Financial System), 3rd Edition, Yuhikaku, 2006; Kinyuron wo Tsukamu (The Essentials of Monetary Economics), Yuhikaku, 2006.
