This course focuses on strengthening your understanding of the major issues and challenges involved in the leadership of businesses in Asia. There will be a special focus on business strategy and the styles of management of firms headquartered in Japan, North America and Europe. Among the topics will be the unique political, economic, social and cultural influences on managing Asian operations, issues related to corporate governance and ownership, entrepreneurship and strategy.
The course will be conducted seminar-style with presentations and discussions based on assigned readings, case studies, video segments, projects, experiential class activities, case stadies and research assignments.
