【コース・ガイド】 Sub Title: Multi-disciplinary approach to the study of major global issues that confront the world community in the 21st century, and the role of the United Nations and International Organizations in addressing these issues. Course Description: A critical review and assessment will be undertaken of the origin and present condition of the major
global issues and problems and how these are being addressed by the national governments and the
international community. Special attention will be paid to the role of the United Nations and other
International Organizations as a tool of global governance in addressing these issues. We shall also
explore ideas and concepts of peace and security, human rights, coexistence among peoples of different
cultures and other critical global issues such as poverty eradication, environmental degradation, aging
society and gender issues.
